With the deepening understanding about intelligence, how it can be manifested in various ways and how it can be developed and enhanced through differentiated means, the public is demanding that schools offer customized educational environments to enhance every child's learning. Magnet Schools offer dynamic and innovative customized educational environments.
Magnet Schools of Texas Purposes:
- To promote goals of desegregation, equity, and excellence through the expansion and improvement of magnet schools
- To encourage the passage of legislation at both the state and national levels that will promote the development and improvement of magnet schools
- To explore and establish linkages with other professional groups with similar interests
- To promote networking within the magnet schools and public choice community
The 2012 MSTX-MS Conference hosted by the East Baton Rouge Parish School System will be held November 9 - 12, 2012 at the Renaissance Hotel in Baton Rouge, LA.
