Dr. Paul D. Human has been the Superintendent in the Texarkana School District since 2004. He has experience as a teacher, coach, business owner, principal, and adjunct professor. He is a member of multiple community and professional organizations. Dr. Human's personal philosophy is that schools should be places where responsibility blends with passion. He feels that in order to do this, we must take advantage of every possibility and develop venues for accomplishment. He believes that is what magnet schools do better than anything else because they are operating under sytems of the purest form of choice. When all of the affected parties are there because they chose to be there, teaching and learning takes on new meaning.

Dr. Human serves the Magnet Schools of Texas board as the Magnet Schools of America Region VI Director.
