To promote goals of desegregation, equity, and excellence through the expansion and improvement of magnet schools |

To encourage the passage of legislation at both the state and national levels that will promote the development and improvement of magnet schools |

To explore and establish linkages with other professional groups with similar interests |

To promote networking within the magnet schools and public choice community |
